What it does
Change HEIC, JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF or TIFF files for better compatibility with browsers, devices and apps.
Choose a screen, standard or print resolution to control how the converted image looks and scales.
Select an optimization profile for a smaller web image, a balanced sharing file or higher-quality output.
Useful for
In detail
Image formats are not interchangeable, and the wrong one causes real friction. HEIC photographs straight off an iPhone will not open in much Windows software or upload to many web forms. PNG screenshots of photographs are several times larger than they need to be. A logo saved as JPG picks up grey haze where its transparent background used to be. Converting is how you match the file to where it is going.
The practical differences are short. JPG is the safest choice for photographs and is understood by everything, but it is lossy and cannot store transparency. PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, which makes it right for logos, screenshots and line art, and wasteful for photographs. WEBP usually produces the smallest file at comparable quality and is supported by every current browser, which makes it the default worth trying for the web. TIFF suits print and archival handoffs. BMP and GIF exist mainly for older software and very limited palettes.
Resolution here sets the DPI metadata and the density the image reports, which is what print and layout software reads when deciding physical size. Optimization controls the encoder: a smaller-file profile strips metadata and compresses harder, while the best-quality profile preserves as much as the destination format allows. Converting a lossy image to another lossy format always re-encodes it, so work from the highest-quality original you have rather than from an already-compressed copy.
How it works
Use the image converter when a website, device, application or print workflow needs a different image format or resolution.
Choose a supported HEIC, JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF or SVG file.
Choose PNG, JPG, WEBP or another available format, then set resolution and optimization.
Preview or download the new image and confirm that its quality suits the destination.

Clear file handling
No account is required. Files are processed on the configured FileMixr storage disk, and signed preview or download links expire after 30 minutes.
Good to know
Yes. HEIC and HEIF files are accepted and can be converted to JPG, PNG, WEBP or any other supported output format for wider compatibility.
WEBP usually gives the smallest file at similar quality and is supported by all current browsers. JPG remains the safest choice for photographs in older software, and PNG is best when you need sharp edges or transparency.
Yes. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto a white background. Choose PNG or WEBP to keep transparency.
Any conversion between lossy formats re-encodes the image. Choose the best-quality optimization profile to keep the most detail, or a smaller-file profile when size matters more than fidelity.
Uploads are accepted between 1 KB and 20 MB per image.
