1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of FileMixr.com, including the public website, online file conversion tools, result links and related support features. By browsing the website or submitting a conversion request, you agree to follow these terms and any instructions shown within the selected tool.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not upload files or use the conversion service. If you are using FileMixr on behalf of a company, organisation or another person, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that party.

2. The FileMixr conversion service

FileMixr provides browser-based tools for converting supported images and documents. Available workflows may include image to PDF, image to image, PDF to image, PDF optimization, and Office file conversion for Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats. The available input types, output formats, resolution controls, compression profiles, file limits and processing features may change over time.

We may limit, suspend or temporarily pause a conversion tool for maintenance, security, capacity, abuse prevention, software updates or other operational reasons. A tool description is not a promise that every file or feature will be available in every environment.

3. File ownership and permission

You retain your ownership rights in files you upload. Before using FileMixr, you are responsible for confirming that you have the legal right, licence, permission or other authority required to upload, copy, convert and download the file and any material it contains.

You must not use FileMixr to process content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality or other rights, or content that is unlawful, harmful or intended to compromise another person's systems.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the website for legitimate file conversion and support purposes. You must not attempt to overload the service, bypass upload or rate limits, interfere with another user, access restricted areas, reverse engineer protected components or use automated activity that creates an unreasonable operational burden.

• Do not upload malware, malicious code, ransomware, harmful scripts or files designed to disrupt the service.
• Do not use FileMixr to test attacks, distribute unlawful content or evade security controls.
• Do not submit a file containing personal or confidential information unless you are authorised to do so and the service is suitable for that information.
• Do not use generated links or downloaded results to misrepresent the source, ownership or authenticity of a document.

5. Uploads, 24-hour retention and backups

The service stores an uploaded source file and a generated result so the conversion can be completed and the result can be made available through a signed preview or download link. Uploaded files and converted files are scheduled for automatic deletion after 24 hours. The cleanup process runs regularly and may remove a file shortly after the 24-hour retention period has elapsed.

A result link is provided for convenience and is not permanent backup or archival storage. You must keep an original copy of every important file, download any result that you intend to keep and verify that the output opened correctly, contains the expected information and is suitable for its intended use.

6. Conversion accuracy and technical limits

Different file formats represent layouts, fonts, formulas, charts, images, transparency, metadata and interactive features in different ways. A converted PDF or image may therefore differ from the source, even when the conversion completes successfully. Multiple-page output may also be returned as a ZIP archive containing individual images.

FileMixr does not promise that a conversion will preserve every feature, match the original pixel for pixel, remain editable or satisfy a particular print, accessibility, legal, financial, academic or business requirement.

7. Intellectual property and branding

FileMixr retains its rights in the website, visual design, user interface, text, branding, documentation, software and related materials. Except where the law permits it or FileMixr gives written permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, sell, license or commercially exploit protected parts of the website.

You retain rights in your own source files and are responsible for respecting the rights of third parties whose brands, content or formats appear in those files.

8. Privacy and security

Your use of the service is also subject to the FileMixr Privacy Policy. That policy explains the types of information that may be processed, including contact details, uploaded-file information and technical request data such as IP address, browser, platform, device and conversion status.

You are responsible for using a suitable connection and device, protecting access to your own accounts or systems and avoiding the upload of material that your organisation or applicable law requires you to keep in a specially controlled environment.

9. Availability, warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, FileMixr is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability, a particular conversion speed, compatibility with every file or that every result will meet a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FileMixr is not responsible for loss caused by your failure to keep a backup, review a converted file, maintain control of your upload or use a result for a purpose for which it was not verified. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these terms when the website, conversion engines, storage arrangements, legal obligations or business operations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.

We may restrict or suspend access when necessary to protect the service, users, infrastructure or legal rights. You may stop using FileMixr at any time, but provisions concerning ownership, acceptable use, privacy, liability and disputes may continue to apply where relevant.

We may need enough information to understand the issue, but please do not send confidential files unless support specifically asks for them and the transfer is appropriate.

These terms are intended as a general website agreement. Mandatory consumer, privacy or other legal protections in your jurisdiction continue to apply where they cannot be waived.
